Instagram Growth Sabotage: 3 Tricks to Destroy Your Social Media Success
Uncover 3 critical mistakes that can destroy your Instagram growth and learn how to avoid them, protecting your social media success and audience engagement.
Hey G,
I recently came across an account that had over a million followers. Impressive right? But than I took a look at their posts and reels…
Some had less then 500 likes.
I thought to myself; How does one f*ck up their page, to the point where you can’t even reach 0.05% of your audience anymore?
So much potential left on the table, but they were not taking advantage of it. I knew I had to dig a bit deeper, to avoid this from happening to my pages, and yours ofcourse.
So I started digging.
1- No branding
The first thing I noticed, was that there was no branding at all. No clear theme in the account. They just posted random stuff, that was not really connected to eachother. If you do this, your audience will unfollow you, or simply ignore your content, which is worse.
This is why branding is so important to build a connection with your audience. Whether it is done with an unique AI voice, or creative thumbnails.
2- Greed
When you have a million followers, you will make money. That is a guarantee, whether it’s from sponsorships or posting ads, there will be a source of income. Unfortunatley, this account knew that all to well. They posted 4-5 times a day, and 3 of those posts were ads for gurus.
You can make up to $3k a month posting ads if you have an account that big, but the ads need to perform well. If people start ignoring them, it means the gurus will pay you less, and your followers will ignore your posts. So that’s a big no-no.
The ideal amount would be 3 posts a day, with 1 or 2 being ads. This creates a nice balance for your audience.
3- No interaction
When they would get comments on their video/post, they would simply ignore it. They didn’t even like it. Imagine that you as the viewer places a heartfelt comment that you put your time and energy in…And you get ignored. It does not build a connection with your audience.
Respond to every comment, no matter if it is hate, love or anything else. Build a connection that you can use as your advantage in the future.
That will be all for now, talk to you later G,
